A Saudi Arabia producer has pioneered the October shipment offers for PP and PE to Southeast Asia market on the first trading day of the week. The latest price list sees some increases on PP cargoes while PE prices mostly move lower from last month.

It is important to note that, compared to last month’s offers, the HDPE and LLDPE film witness some reduction, however, compared to the cycle bottom reported at the beginning of September, the offers have increased by an average $30/ton.
A source close to the producer informed, “The allocation remains unaffected by the recent feedstock supply disruption in Saudi Arabia. However, China market has been active over the past several weeks, which support the general sentiment. We are waiting for feedback from the customers before setting final prices.”
Meanwhile, regional buyers are surprised with HDPE and LLDPE film priced above the $900/ton threshold and become reluctant to proceed with fresh replenishment.
