It is reported that another Saudi Arabia producer has announced fresh PE offers for September shipment to Vietnam with reductions of $20/ton for HDPE film and $40/ton for LLDPE film.
The latest price list stands at $990/ton for HDPE film and $920-930/ton for LLDPE film, all based on CIF Vietnam, LC AS term.
Many customers are placing bids for LLDPE film cargoes at well below the $900/ton mark on the back of the persistently weak demand condition. A buyer said, “Local buyers are very aggressive in placing lower bids and we are making loses for those higher costs cargoes purchased in the previous month. We are waiting for LLDPE film prices to fall below the $900/ton mark before making replenishment.”
