Despite the constant claim of having limited availability, especially for LLDPE film stemming from an unspecified production issue, weak demand condition has overshadowed the supply situation, sources said.
Customers are demanding for additional price cuts following deals for a Middle Eastern LLDPE film cargo at below the $900/ton threshold reported earlier this week.
“The near term market outlook is not too bright. With the on-going trade war with the USA and the up-coming environmental inspection, demand is taking a rather big hit,” a trader informed.
