It is reported that a major Malaysian producer has announced June shipment offers for both PP and PE to Indonesia mostly at unchanged levels from last month, except for minor changes reported on HDPE film and PP random copolymer.

Indonesian buyers are not very receptive toward the latest price list citing the weak demand, competitive local material and depreciated Indonesian Rupiah against the USD dollar.
“The international market is on the downtrend. We think the producer would have to concede to large discount in order to attract deal. Local market is very soft at the moment, especially with the arising political risk,” a buyer added.
