It is reported that another Saudi Arabia producer has opened February shipment offers for PP and PE to the Southeast Asia market. The latest price list sees some minor reductions, however, it appears that the maker is rather confident about the market outlook.

It is informed that the producer has restarted the troubled PP plant and currently operating smoothly. The unit was shut in October 2018 due to a major mechanical issue.
The initial response from the market is not very positive, and buyers constantly comparing with deals of another Saudi LLDPE film cargoes that done earlier this week at $1010-1020/ton CIF Vietnam.
“Customers are going off for the Lunar New Year. There are more competitive options in the market, and therefore, the supplier might face very tough negotiation on deal this time,” a Vietnamese trader added.
