A Saudi Arabia producer opens fresh PP and PE offers to China with $20/ton increased from last month, claiming tight availability. However, demand has not lent sufficient support, as buyers are shy away from accepting the hike.

“We did not immediately place bid given the sluggish condition in the domestic market. The energy complex just plunged more than 6 percent in a single trading day, and this is rather alarming,” a buyer commented.
Local market has been declining over the past several sessions, which constraint the extent of any price increases in the import market. “We believed that the supplier would agree to some discount given the current demand condition,” another buyer added.
