Another Saudi producer cuts January PP, PE offers to SEA market

It is reported that another Saudi Arabia producer has announced fresh PP and PE offers for January shipment to Southeast Asia market with a rather large reduction, except for LLDPE film.

The producer’s latest price list and changes compared to last month is shown in the following table:

Due to the persistent mechanical issues at one of the PP line that produces BOPP and homo-PP yarn grades, the producer does not have sufficient quantity for spot buyers.

“Supply for PE is regular this month. We are comparing the prospect between China and SEA market and might adjust the allocation accordingly. For HDPE, we are planning a scheduled shutdown in January, therefore, we might not be able to offer any major discount,” a source close to the producer said.
