Earlier today, a major Taiwanese producer opens fresh PVC offers for January shipment to India with $30/ton hike from last month to $930/ton CIF, LC AS term. By the mid of the day, Chinese and Southeast Asian buyers reportedly receive the new offers with $20/ton increased to $880/ton, CIF/CFR term.
“It looks like India is still the most active market this month. Our customers in China and Southeast Asia are not showing the strong interest to make replenishment. Allocation for this month is regular,” an international distributor for the producer added.
India market has been seeing better demand condition since late November, which is in line with the end of the monsoon season. Sources are expecting overseas sellers to follow the price trend and put more focus on this market this month.
