Domestic producer continues slashing local PP, PE offers in Indonesia

It is reported that a major Indonesian producer has announced fresh price list for PP and PE to local buyers on the first trading day of the week with a rather large reduction for both grades.

The producer’s latest price list and changes are shown in the following table:

Comfortable supply remains one of the major factor dragging prices lower, sources claimed while appreciating Indonesian Rupiah against the US dollar is another factor contributing to the downtrend.

“Demand is not strong. We have lengthy supply for LLDPE film in our warehouses and therefore, we are not very optimistic about the near term outlook,” a local trader added.
