A major Malaysian producer reportedly announced October shipment offers for PP and PE to Indonesia at reduction from last month. Larger decreases are seen in the PE prices given the pressure from new supply from the USA.

Indonesian buyers have expressed the buy ideas for HDPE film at below the $1400/ton threshold following the general softening trend seen across the region. “We do hope to obtain some discounts on PP cargoes as well, now that new cargoes from Vietnam are available at the relatively competitive level,” a buyer added.
