According to market sources, Kaneka Vinyls is planning to shut its PVC plant by early November 2018 for a planned turnaround.
Based in Takasago, Japan, the plant is able to produce 279,000 tons/year of PVC. It is expected to remain off-stream for around 3 weeks. Meanwhile, its 120,000 tons/year PVC plant in Kawasaki, Japan has resumed production by end of August after turnaround that started in June.
