In an update for planned maintenance shutdown at major PE producers in Asia for the second half of the year, ten (10) major makers are taking their plant off-stream, some with multiple lines.
A majority of these shutdowns (53%) are concentrated on HDPE followed by LLDPE at 26%. Asian players have the reason to believe that supply for HDPE within the region might tighten as a result, however, purchasing interest at the moment, remains pretty calm.
