According to market sources, Jam Petrochemical Co Ltd has delayed the scheduled maintenance of its PE plants to 7 October 2018.

Based in Assaluyeh, Iran, the company has a 300,000 tons/year of HDPE plant and a 300,000 tons/year of HDPE/LLDPE swing plant. Both plants will remain off-stream for around 1 month. A source closed to the company informed that there are major turnaround for gas field during that time, it is expected that the upstream supply for several major plants around Assaluyeh area will be affected as well, which might lead to lower production rate for PE plants. Hence, market players are expecting for limited PE supply from Iran throughout second half of the year.
