According to market sources, Sinopec Zhongyuan Ethylene Corporation has unexpectedly shut its PE plants since 9 July 2018 due to technical glitches.
Based in Puyang City, Henan Province, China, both No. 1 120,000 tons/year HDPE/LLDPE plant and 80,000 tons/year LLDPE plant experienced emergency shutdown yesterday, meanwhile its No. 2 60,000 tons/year HDPE/LLDPE plant also entered scheduled turnaround on the same day. Restart schedule could not be ascertained.
