Vietnamese buyers on the first trading day of the week reported receiving adjusted PP and PE offers for July shipment from a major Saudi Arabia producer. Latest price list showed $10/ton reduction for all grades and active deals have been achieved, especially for LLDPE film.
The latest prices and week on week changes are shown in the following table:
A number of buyers in the country find the latest LLDPE film prices to be competitive, yet showing reluctance toward the homo-PP cargoes. “Competitive non-dutiable cargoes from Southeast Asia and China are widely available in the market and therefore, it is natural that buyers demand more discount. In the meantime, we are not having any pressure as allocation is very limited this time,” a distributor commented.
