Market sources reported that Formosa Petrochemical Corp (FPC) has shut its No. 1 cracker since 5 June 2018 for a planned turnaround.
Based in Mailiao, Taiwan, the cracker is able to produce 700,000 tons/year of ethylene, 350,000 tons/year of propylene and 109,000 tons/year of butadiene. It is expected to restart by 17 July 2018.
