Local PP, PE offers in Indonesia hold stable, market enters holiday mood

It is reported that a major Indonesian producer has announced fresh weekly PP and PE offers to local buyers at mostly unchanged levels from last week, except some $20/ton reduction on PP block copolymer grade. Demand in the country is now subsiding as most buyers are entering holiday mood given the fast-approaching Ramadan celebration.

The producer’s latest price list and changes are shown in the following table:

Sources reported focusing more on delivery this week, as road ban would take place on 12 to 14 June. “As a result, we have to get parcels delivered latest by 8 June. The post-holiday market condition remains cloudy and we prefer to be cautious when it comes to making fresh buys at the moment,” a buyer added.
