Market sources reported that Zhongtian Hechuang Co Ltd is planning to shut its PP plant by 23 May 2018 due to limited supply of upstream methanol in the near term.
Based in Erdos, Inner Mongolia, China, the PP plant (Gas method) has a production capacity of 350,000 tons/year. It is expected to remain off-stream for 11-12 days. Meanwhile its 120,000 tons/year LDPE plant (Kettle method) has been shut for a-week-long maintenance since 19 May.
