It is reported that a fire broke out at a PP warehouse of ONGC Petro Additions Ltd (OPaL) at Dahej, India on 28 April 2018. The blaze was distinguished after a couple of hours and no casualty or injury was reported.
At the moment, the company is still probing into the cause of the fire and no details on the damages have been revealed. However, the plant operation remains unaffected by the event.
OPaL’s petrochemical complex in Dahej Special Economic Zone, Gujarat, India came online earlier 2017. The plant consists of a cracker that produces 1.1 million ton/year of ethylene and 400,000 ton/year of propylene. A 340,000 tons/year PP line and three PE lines with a combined capacity of 1.06 million tons/year.
