PP and LLDPE futures firmed up substantially by the end of the morning session on first trading day of March. May delivery contract for PP added CNY113/ton ($18/ton) to CNY9281/ton ($1251/ton without VAT) while LLDPE closed at CNY9670/ton ($1304/ton without VAT), an increased of CNY175/ton ($28/ton).

Offers for both homo-PP in Eastern China and LLDPE film in Northern China remain stable at CNY‎‎‎9000-9100/ton ($‎‎1213-1227/ton without VAT) and CNY9300-9500/ton ($‎‎1254-1281/ton without VAT) respectively, both on a EXW China, cash equivalent basis.

General sentiment seems to improve further from earlier this week with more buyers requesting for offers, yet most cargoes takers are traders. Many converters are still absence from the market, however with Chap Goh Mei festival ending on 2 March 2018, outlook for the coming week hold positive, traders said.
