Vietnamese players reported to have received fresh PP and PE offers from another Saudi Arabia producer for February shipment with large increases from last month, especially HDPE blow molding, which witness three-digits hike.

Supply is very limited, sources said, due to the upcoming maintenance shutdown at both HDPE and LLDPE plants. “We might not be able to obtain any discount on HDPE blow molding cargoes as demand in China remains healthy. At the meantime, the implementation of import duty on PP block copolymer might encourage buyers to press for lower prices,” a distributor commented.
