Another major Southeast Asian producer has announced December shipment to regional market with minor reduction of $10-20/ton from last month for both PP and LDPE cargoes.

Latest price list is reported at $1220/ton for homo-PP, $1290/ton for PP block copolymer, $1300-1310/ton for PP random copolymer, $1380/ton for LDPE film, $1440/ton for LDPE injection and $1450/ton for LDPE lamination, all based on CIF Southeast Asia/DAP Malaysia, LC AS term.

It appears that Vietnamese and Indonesian buyers are not very receptive towards the latest offers citing that other Southeast Asian producers have already concluded deals at much lower levels. A distributor explained, “Our principal supplier is not facing inventories pressure as the plant is preparing stocks for the major shutdown later this year. We might focus on back to back transaction this month.”
