Chinese players reportedly received new offers for PE cargoes from USA today with LLDPE film price standing at $1180/ton, HDPE film at $1170-1180/ton and LDPE film at $1180-1220/ton, all on a CFR China, LC at sight term, November shipment. Some players informed that there are also bids invitation for USA cargoes, which are expected to add further pressure on the prices next month.

A trader informed, “We received offers for USA PE cargoes (traders packaging) with approximately 400 tons of HDPE film, and about 80 tons each for LDPE film and LLDPE film today. Although the volume offered is not huge, but we believed that there will be more offers by next month, which could pressure prices for further reduction, as we are seeing supply to be relief from tightness in coming weeks.”
