Market players reported that India’s ONGC Petro additions Limited (OPaL) has selected three official distributions channels to distribute PP and PE output from the new plant to China and Southeast Asia.

To China, Posco Daewoo Corporation, Samsung C & T Corporation and Vinmar International Ltd are the appointed international offtakers, while in Southeast Asia, Posco Daewoo Corporation, Samsung C & T Corporation and Tricon International Ltd are the main channels.

OPaL completed the commercial run at its new petrochemical complex in Dahej Special Economic Zone, Gujarat, India earlier this year. The plant consist of a cracker that produces 1.1 million ton/year of ethylene and 400,000 ton/year of propylene. A 340,000 tons/year PP line and three PE lines with combined capacity of 1.06 million tons/year.
