The Chinese government has been accelerating afford in cleaning the air in Northen area of the country during this winter by imposing several ban including the use of diesel truck and lowering operating rate at most factories in the area.
In the latest announcement, the municipal commission of housing and urban-rural development said it is banning all constructions of road and water projects, as well as demolition of housing from Nov. 15 to March 15 withing Beijing’s six major districts and surrounding suburbs. Violation of the new rules will be strictly punished.
Other project including railways, airports and affordable housing might be excepted from the new ban provided they are approved by the commission.
