After announcing September shipment offers to Vietnam at below expectation, a major Saudi Arabia producer has also lifted PE prices to Indonesia by $40-45/ton from last month, reaching $1150/ton for HDPE film and $1170/ton for LLDPE film, all based on CIF Indonesia, LC AS term.

Market has yet to show clear respond toward the latest prices though the producer is hoping that firmer local ground would encourage buyers to seek cargoes from import market. “However, we do expect a some discount on deals as buyers are loosing interest in making replenishment amid squeezed profit margins,” a market source added.
