According to market sources, Xinjiang Tianye Co Ltd has unexpectedly shut its PVC plant on evening of 7 August 2017 due to explosion at the acetylene section, which leads to equipment damages.
Based in Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, China, the acetylene based PVC plant has a production capacity of 200,000 tons/year. The restart schedule could not be ascertained.
