According to the latest data released by the Chinese Custom Department, export homo-PP from the country in March 2017 surged 63 per cent from February to reach the highest level seen in more than two year.

Outbound shipment for PP in March reached 39,600 tons, up from 14,600 in February. Chinese suppliers have been actively searching for new export destination in recent months amid high local inventories and persistent weal buying interest since players come back from the Lunar New Year holidays.

Though there is no official export data for April, Chinese players are looking at similar figure for March, as there is little improvement in local demand. The question is would this become a new trend in the coming months?
