Another major Saudi Arabia producer has announced May shipment offers to Vietnam with reduction from last month. The largest cut is seen in PP block copolymer prices at $70-80/ton from last month while homo-PP offer is down $40/ton. For PE, the maker slashed LLDPE and HDPE film prices by $50/ton and $30/ton respectively.

Latest price list stand at $1160/ton for HDPE film, $1170/ton for LLDPE film, $1080/ton for homo-PP yarn and injection and $1140-1150/ton for PP block copolymer, all based o CIF Vietnam, LC AS term.

A converter received the new offers commented, “We plan to bid for $20-30/ton reduction on PE cargoes to make a small replenishment. Our end product demand is not very strong and our plant is only operating at 70% capacity at the moment. At the mean time, we are still having some inventories on hand.”
