Market players reported that a major producer from Thailand has announced fresh offers today for shipment on beginning to mid of June with a reduction of $15/ton for HDPE film to reach $1150/ton,  $5/ton for HDPE yarn to reach $1175/ton, $20/ton for LLDPE film to reach $1190/ton, $20/ton reduction for LDPE film and heavy duty to reach $1245/ton and $1270/ton respectively, $30/ton for metallocene LLDPE to reach $1320/ton, compared to last week, all on a CFR China, LC at sight term.

A trader commented, “Comparatively the deals concluded for HDPE yarn are better than the others hence the reduction range were lesser this week. Meanwhile we were facing persistent slow demand for the other grades, and this duty-free LLDPE price is equivalent to around $1120/ton for price level, but it is still about CNY700/ton ($101/ton) higher than local prices. Hence, we are having low confidence on the near term outlook especially for import market.”
