As reported earlier, Lotte Chemical Titan (M) Sdn Bhd has restarted its No. 2 cracker last Saturday, meanwhile it has restarted its No. 1 cracker only by yesterday, which has been delayed for further 3 days from initial schedule due to some production issues. According to a source closed to the company, one of its PP and HDPE lines are still off, awaiting the production rate ramping up for crackers.
Based in Pasir Gudang, Malaysia, both of its crackers are able to produce 1.08 million tons/year of ethylene and 410,000 tons/year of propylene. Meanwhile, the company also has 390,000 tons/year of PP unit, 335,000 tons/year of HDPE and 230,000 tons/year of LDPE plant at the same site. The plant has been shut since 9 April 2017 due to water supply issues.
