According to market sources, Petrochemical Corporation of Singapore (PCS) is planning to shut its No. 1 cracker by early next week owing to technical glitches.
Based in Ayer Merbau, Jurong Island, Singapore, the No. 1 cracker is able to produce 450,000 tons/year of ethylene. The company is currently reducing production rate at the cracker and restart schedule could not be ascertained.
