Chinese players reported to have received fresh weekly offers from a major Thailand producer at unchanged levels for HDPE cargoes at $1155/ton for HDPE film and $1165/ton for HDPE yarn, all based on CFR China, LC AS term.

In contrast, the producer reportedly slashed LDPE film prices by $20/ton from last week, bringing latest offers to $1260/ton CFR China on persistent weak buying interest for this grade and pressure from competitive local material. New LLDPE film offers stand at $1215/ton with the same term. 

A trader received the new offers commented, “The producer managed to conclude a good number of deals last week for HDPE and decided to maintain their offers to reflect better buying interest. Stable offers might not be attractive since buyers are only looking for prices at the lower end of the overall price range.”
