According to market sources, a major Southeast Asian producer has announced fresh PP and PE offers for April delivery to regional buyers with reduction compared to last month. The maker’s price list is shown in the following table:

Regional players blamed the persistent weak demand condition amid plunging upstream costs to be the primary factor driving such drastic price reduction. A buyer interested in the LDPE film cargoes commented, “The supplier is still very firm on the LDPE film cargoes, however it is too risky to make purchases at the current price levels given the down trend in China. We might only procure a small quantity this month.”
