A major producer from Malaysia has announced its new offers for March 2017 delivery with an increased of MYR230/ton ($52/ton) for homo-PP, MYR200/ton ($45/ton) for copolymer-PP and BOPP, MYR180/ton ($41/ton) for LDPE, MYR280/ton ($63/ton) for HDPE and MYR200/ton ($45/ton) for LLDPE as compared to their latest offers end of last month. Players attributed the price hike towards limited supply due to upcoming scheduled turnaround, however, purchasing activities remain weak since players back from Chinese New Year holidays.
