According to market sources, another major Southeast Asian producer has announced March shipment offers for PP and LDPE to regional buyers with increases compared to last month. The maker reportedly implemented $50/ton hike on all LDPE cargoes and $30-50/ton increased on PP.
Latest LDPE price list stand at $1450/ton for film, $1490/ton for injection and $1520/ton for lamination grade, all based on CIF/DAP Southeast Asia, LC AS term.
Meanwhile, PP offers opened at $1210/ton for homo-PP, $1310-1370/ton for block copolymer and $1330-1440/ton for random copolymer, with the same payment and shipment term.
A distributor informed, “Our principal supplier lifted prices following the recent strengthened upstream costs. Besides, due to several shutdowns in the region, the overall supply has also reduced. We are monitoring buyer respond toward the latest offers since the purchasing appetite seems a little weaker this week.”
