Chinese players reported receiving downward adjusted PE offers from a major Middle Eastern producer by $20/ton from official price given earlier this week. The latest price stand at $1190/ton for LLDPE film and $1330/ton for LDPE film, all based on CFR China, LC AS term.

A source close to the supplier said, “Domestics prices have been constantly softening since last week, which make import material less competitive. Respond from buyers is a little weak, however, we are not able to conceded to any larger reduction due to lack of availability. We have yet to confirm the maintenance shutdown in March and at the moment we are building some buffer inventories.”
