Vietnamese buyers reported to have received fresh PE offers from another Saudi Arabia producer for February delivery with $20-30/ton hike from last month. Latest offers stand at $1230/ton for LLDPE film and $1180/ton for HDPE film, all based on CIF Vietnam, LC AS term.

Source close to the company commented, “We are not having sufficient LLDPE film cargoes this month due to the persistent plant issues. Buyers are not very receptive about the new offers, however, we prefer to monitor further before implementing any measure on the prices.”

A Vietnamese buyer added, “Several other regular suppliers are also trying to push import LLDPE film offer to above the $1200/ton threshold and we think that deal concluded at such level might be very small.”
