According to a press release, Philippine Resins Industries Inc. is planning to double up its PVC output by 2019. The expansion project involved ¥4.2 billion ($608 million) worth of capital and is expected to kick start in February 2017. Upon completion, in December 2018, the new facilities are expected to add 110,000 tons/year to the current output, lifting total production capacity to 210,000 tons/year.
Philippine Resins Industries Inc. is a joint venture between Tosoh Corporation (80%) and Mitsubishi Corporation (20%) located in the city of Bataan, Philippines. This is a non-integrated plant and the company is obtaining feedstock from the parents companies and the open market.
