A major producer from Thailand has announced new offers today with some adjustments compared to last week, with an increased of $5/t for HDPE film and yarn at $1175/ton and $1185/ton respectively, the similar price hike for LLDPE film to reach $1255/ton, $5/ton reduction for LDPE film and heavy duty to reach $1365/ton and $1395/ton respectively, all on a CFR China, LC at sight term.

A trader informed, “Our supplier has delayed their price announcement for several days since returned from the New Year holiday due to lack of confidence toward the outlook in the near term, while prices are open for negotiations. We believed that buyers are not interested toward current price level, and with the continuous weak currency as well as approaching Chinese New Year, customers are preferring to source from local spot market instead.”
