According to market sources, a major Taiwanese producer has announced fresh PVC offers for January delivery to Asian market with $50/ton reduction, ended the five months rally since July.

Latest offers stand at $960/ton to India and $920/ton to Southeast Asian and China, all based on CIF/CFR, LC AS term.

A Vietnamese buyer commented, “We did not expect such large drop from the maker. It would be interesting to monitor how buyers in other key market like India and China respond to the new prices. For us, we are considering some purchases, however, we plan to negotiate for further discount.”
