A major Thailand producer reportedly suspended all HDPE offers to Vietnam yesterday after achieved satisfactory sales results at the new price levels. In the earlier trading day, the maker opened fresh prices to Vietnam at $5-10/ton lower compared to last week reaching $1125/ton for HDPE film, $1130/ton for HDPE blow moulding and $1150/ton for HDPE yarn, all based on CIF Vietnam, LC AS term.

A source close to the company said, “We managed to conclude a good number of deal without any discount this time. We plan to monitor further development before announcing the next offering. At the moment, we are procuring ethylene from spot market to produce HDPE.”
