According to market sources, a major Indian producer has resumed homo-PP offering to Vietnam today after several weeks’ absence from the market. The producer is under-taking maintenance shutdown at its two PP units in November, resulting in reduced export allocation. Latest offers to Vietnam stand at $1040/ton CIF, LC AS term.

A Vietnamese trader informed, “It appears that the general supply from international suppliers is still tight due to the shutdown. However, domestic market is just plentiful. We are looking at prices below the $1020/ton in the near term, therefore, we are not planning to accept anything above this level.”
