An Indonesian producer has opened a fresh PP and PE price list to domestic buyers with minor increases from the previous week on the back of the depreciating Rupiah against the US dollar, while demand remains sluggish.

Market sources said that customers continue to wait on the sideline and would only make small purchases in the distribution market to meet their immediate needs. The weak end-product demand is expected to cap the market's potential upside in the near term.
“We must also monitor the demand outlook in China after the Congress Meeting. If the downtrend persists, the Indonesian market might soon fall under pressure. Everyone is highly cautious at the moment,” a buyer added.
