A major local producer in Indonesia has opened a fresh PP and PE price list after the long weekend holiday with sharp reductions amid the plunging demand and the constant downtrend in the import ground that draws buyers’ attention.

The producer’s latest price list and changes compared to last week are shown in the following table:

In spite of the large cuts, Indonesian customers remain uninterested in the price list because of the substantial gap with the import market. Indonesian buyers might continue to flock to the import ground regardless of the absence of the BMDTP scheme unless the producer steps up the effort to retain the competitiveness.
