A key local producer in Malaysia has opened a fresh price list for February delivery to domestic buyers with steep increases, especially on PP cargoes to reflect the current uptrend across the Asia region.

Local demand in Malaysia is much better than expected, according to market sources. Buyers decided to make replenishment in anticipation of further increases ahead, once the preparation for the Ramadan season kick in.
“We are surprised. Trading activities are better than expected. Local suppliers have the support to implement further increases in the coming weeks,” a trader said.
